5 Vegan drinks for this Fall and Winter


Brrrrr……It’s starting to get chilly out side!

Stay warm and cozy this winter with these 5 vegan drink recipes.


1.Chai Tea


-4 whole cloves

-2 cardamom pods, cracked

-1/2 a cinnamon stick

-3 black peppercorns

-1 tablespoon loose black tea leaves

-3 or 4 cups non-dairy milk

-1 or 2 tablespoons brown sugar


-Place spices in a small saucepan

-Warm on low heat until spices release a scent.

-Add the non-dairy milk and tea leaves and raise heat to medium-high (bring to a boil)

-Turn heat back to low and allow tea to simmer for 5 minutes

-Remove from heat and allow to steep for 5 minutes

-Add 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar and stir well

-Strain it into cups and serve hot



2.Hot Cocoa



-1 cup unsweetened almond milk

-1 ½ tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

-½ tablespoon dairy-free semisweet chocolate chips

-1 tablespoon sweetener of choice

-1 pinch of sea salt


-Add unsweetened almond milk to a saucepan over medium heat

-Once milk is warm stir in all other ingredients

-Sweeten to taste


3.Vegan Nog


-1 cup of raw unsalted cashews, soaked and drained

-2 cups of water

-1 15oz can of full-fat coconut milk

-6 or 7 meedjol dates, pitted

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-1 teaspoon nutmeg

-½ teaspoon kosher salt


-Soak cashews for 3-4 hours

-Drain water from cashews and place in blender

-Add 2 cups of water and blend until very smooth

-Add the rest of the ingredients to the blender

-Blend until the nog is a very smooth consistency (dates take some time to blend)

-Pour nog into a glass container and refrigerate

-Serve cold


4.Apple Cider


-3 or 4 cups apple cider

-2 cinnamon sticks

-1 cup pure unsweetened cranberry juice

-¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg

-5 whole cloves

-½ teaspoon whole cardamom

-1 teaspoon orange rind

-1 tablespoon agave nectar

-Cinnamon sticks for garnish


-Add apple cider, cranberry juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, and orange ring to a saucepan over medium heat

-Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes, uncovered

-Strain cider into a bowl or pitcher

-Add agave nectar

-Pour into cup and garnish with cinnamon stick



5.Hot Toddy


-4oz tea, hot cider, or water

-1 ½ oz whiskey

-Juice of ½ of a lemon

-1oz agave nectar



-Heat cider, tea, or water

-Stir in all other ingredients in a large mug and enjoy
